Imlil is the centre of mountain tourism in Morocco due to its location in the High Atlas Mountains. From here, 90% of visitors head up to Toubkal, the highest mountain in Morocco.   Imlil is the end of the tarmac road, and is a natural place to hire mountain guides and mules for the onward trek.

You can goto Imlil on a daytrip should you wish to do so, the route there takes you through the Ouirganne Valley and there are some stunning views along the way.  When you get to Imlil you can take a look around the village or take a short hike (around two hours) to get some spectacular views.  There is usually a small fee if you want to hire a guide for the hike (approx 5 Euros per person).

The daytrip starts at 8-9am in Marrakech and returns at 6-7pm.

The total cost of this daytrip is 1000 DH (approx 90 Euros).
